I opened the Design Center showroom on the Eastside in 1960. "We wanted to create a single showroom where designers, contractors, architects, and the general public could come to view the very best materials: including carpeting, slab stone surfaces, tile, granite, hardwood, laminated flooring, and custom cabinetry."
